Shelly Murphy

Shelly has been a practising holistic therapist for fifteen years although her interest in alternative therapies started at a very young age as she was often to be found treating her friends and family in her free time. She grew up with a healer mother and a father with a passion for osteopathy so its no surprise she enjoys all treatments great and small herself!

Her first job was a sign of things to come as she spent her Saturday mornings behind the counter in a traditional beauty clinic at age thirteen.

Shelly went on to study jewellery design at the ‘Kent Institute of Art & Design’ but kept up the treatments and still boasts loyal clients from that time some twenty-five years ago. After studying jewellery and working in that field for ‘Stephen Webster’ and ‘Dower & Hall’ it wasn’t long before Shelly found herself back in the health care and beauty world advancing to run a consultancy helping people increase and improve their health based business and eventually setting up her own ground breaking spa that pioneered and popularised many treatments and practices seen as common place today. The Spa won much critical acclaim and topped many awards lists with Best Day Spa 2009 by Health and Beauty Magazine and Best Out of Town Therapists by Harpers Bazaar to name just a few.

Shelly went on to give birth to beautiful twin girls in 2011 and continued treating from a smaller practice whilst bringing them up through their early years. It was there Shelly realised a lack of provision for skincare for her cancer patents and was inspired to create ‘Trust Organic Skincare’ to help her clients with the side effects and damage that some cancer treatment unfortunately creates.

“Shhh Therapy Suite” started off its life in the Old Library Building in Wadhurst, East Sussex hence all the book related treatment names! After many successful years there, it has now outgrown the space and has moved to larger premises just down the road, to ‘@One’. Trust Organic Skincare is to be followed shortly with shhh Organic Skincare that hopes to cater for everyone including a pregnancy, mens, teenager and child range.
